waiting for medicaid

Well last time I said something it was a couple of weeks ! So here is my update ,talk to Rhonda at Dr.Ordoyne's office on wednesday said she had mailed all my paperwork in on August 28th. So ,I decided today to try and get some lead way with medicaid just to find out if they recieved it ! OF COURSE ! No one can talk to me and all of them say well call ur doctor and tell them to call in to medicaid to find out . I wanted to scream and pull out my hair at the same time !It's like why is it so hard to tell me if they just recieved the paperwork .I'm not asking for an answer yet I know it takes time ! It seems that with everything going on with my 2 special needs kids with school sometimes you just wish someone out there could give you a simple answer.Never happens that way,always has to be lets make it more difficult ! I feel like sometimes I don't even get the chance to breathe and when I do it's crappy air ! Sorry if u read this and think i'm just complaining well I guess i am !

Hey Michelle i went to Dr Ordoyne for my first surg. appt on Aug. 29, i have medicaid also. I haven't checked with Rhonda to see when she filed mine. Some people have heard back from Medicaid in less than a week. I sure hope it don't take long. What is the number you called to check on your Claim? Zadie

I just called the # on the back of my card and they said they couldn't tell me nothing ! Sorry I don't have a answer either! I know that from ur first visit it takes them 10 days for Dr.O to write the letter of recommendation of surgery than Rhonda gets it all together and mails it ! Because my visit was on the 17 th of august .So I have waited a lil while not that long!

Hi Michelle! Here's the number for Medicaid to see if they got your paperwork and if you have been approved.1-800-488-6334.Just tell them you are checking on the status of your gastric bypass claim.If they haven't got it yet I would call Rhonda and see when she's going to send it.Once they get it they don't take long to approve you.Hope this was what you needed.Good Luck!

Medicaid treats it different than medicare? Or is it the doctor? I had my surgery with medicare and didn't have to wait for approval. Seems since both are government programs they would treat it the same, but then again, thats how the government is they never make any sense. Hope it goes thru for you. Abby
