I am 7 weeks out and I went to my dad's today for a BBQ. I had a few bites of chicken and did fine. I know this is crazy but he grills the best burgers and i brought one home just b/c the temptation was so great to eat a bite just to see. I wanted to have some input on if i should try a bite or not. I don't want to hurt myself by eating beef. If I don't eat it I can always give it to my hubby. Please give me some feedback. Thanks everyone!!

If you want to try it I say try it. I would do more than a bite or two though. Meat will feel you up real fast and could make you uncomfortable if you eat to much. So a little bite or two would probably be fine. Tina

personally, i wouldn't eat it, its not good to eat red meat before 6months post op, it might make you sick!!!, Tina, what were you thinking? Rhonda

Thanks so much for the clarification. I was very concern. I knew that you two were close and I'm relieved to see that it still remains. Cheers and kisses, Frances

I've been eating beef for about 2 mos now, and its fine. Like Tina said, it does fill you up fast tho, so only eat a little bit. I do prefer to eat chicken or fish over beef, beef is kinda fatty, most cuts anyway, so be very careful. Cindee

Hey girl, They tell us not to eat beef, ham or pork for 6 mjonths b/c it is the hardest to digest. I was 51/2-53/4 before I tried beef, ham or pork. I ate the turkey instead. But if want to try a small bite to see how you would do then go for it. But I didn't. I was to scared to try it before I was suppose to. Take care and call me, Chrissy
