Thanks for the info, I don't think I would need to get a revision, but I have been hearing so many people talking about the success they have had with the DS instead of Rny. I will be meeting with my original doctor in September to discuss all options. Fred

Hi Fred, I also live in Baton Rouge and have an appointment to see Dr. Chu in Lafayette Sept. 14th. I have a bmi of 86 (yes, eighty-six) and am looking into having the DS done by Dr. Chu. I will tell you, after attending 3 seminars by other surgeons, I was VERY impressed with Dr. Chue and Dr. Steven's presentation. Their staff is very professional yet caring. I don't know the number of times I've called to talk with Bridgett, the nurse. Fabulous! I don't know about revisions, but I do know that she and Dr. Stevens recommend higher bmi's have the DS. I would love to know how things work out for you. Mary Olson Loser wanna be :0)

Hello Fran It has been along time. I lurk into the message boards from time to time and it is good to hear from you. Right now I'm in the process of starting a new job and soon as I get everything in order I will probably be making it to some of the events which you guys have planned. I really like the way you have organized the group in Baton Rouge. Onward. Fred

I've taught journalism/mass communications off and on for six years while working at The Advocate. Right now, I'm taking a "hard-knocks" lesson in what it's like to work there full time.
