Anyone from the St. Charles parish area?

Good morning all!! I was just curious if anyone here was from the Luling/St. Charles parish area? I am a pre-op....my surgery is scheduled for Sept. 14 in Slidell (I am a cash pay). Have a great weekend!

Hello Yolanda, I do not live in St. Charles Parish anymore but I did live there for over 30 years. We lived in Hahnville for almost a year and then bought a home in Luling. I have very fond memories of St. Charles Parish --- lots of really nice people and our son grew up there. My husband and I moved to Ponchatoula a couple of years ago but I still go back once every 5 or 6 weeks. My husband still works over there ---in Taft, LA. So, he is there 4 days a week, at least. I had my surgery March 29, 2005 in New Orleans. I paid for my surgery too. Our insurance doesn't cover WLS for any reason. It was worth every penny. I believe it saved my life!
