Baton Rouge Best Doc "Bellanger or Lavin????"
Hi Everyone,
I am looking to have WLS but I am not sure about which doctor to go with. I need a patients opinion on both doctors so I can make a decision. I will also ask those that are in the medical profession because they tend to know more about a doctors capabilities that are not advertised. Thanks for any help.
Hi, I recommend Dr. Lavin also, I did alot of research for 4 years, and worked beside folks who had the surgery , 1,2,3,4 year post ops of his , and he is the one i chose, If I picked one in baton rouge I would go with Leblanc, or Hausman, .... Good Luck and do research before you make your decision, talk to the Dr.'s also,,,,,, Rhonda
Dr. Hargroder (same office as Bellanger) is a great doc too. He's done over 800 of the surgeries now and to date has only had 1 death (pulmonary embolism) and minimal complications. One of the primary things I looked for in a doctor was his experience and Dr. Hargroder is one of the most experienced doctors performing this procedure in this area hands down. I did a lot of research on docs in the southern United States and his track record was the best. His staff is the great and I one thing that really impressed me about his frank and to the point observations and views regarding the surgery.
