I have a question
Warning: Bad news, possibly.
These pains are related to muscle recovery/stretching and the healing of the tissue (scar tissue formation) and it takes part in stages. It's a good sign cause the tissue is healing and new tissue is forming, but it will come and go for quite a while. I still have this a couple of years out, but I've had some other surgeries in the area since wls, so maybe that's why I still ache there from time to time.
Heat and anti-inflammatories (if tolerated) does help.
Chin up,
Frances
Hey Lady, How are you? I am not at all happy about the pain but I am dealing with it. Yes it does make you really tired. Walking like a geriatric patient ( not that I have anything against the elderly, but I'll be there when I get there and not before ) Anywho, everything else is going pretty good. Nothing tastes the same and I guess thats a good thing. I did manage to get in more protein yesterday. I'm working on it. Bejai
If taking it slow is what gets it done, then you go right ahead, girl! It will get better, just takes a few weeks, something to with that is where they put the camera, and they manipulate it around a good bit trying to see what they are doing. Doc told me that there is a muscle right there and he has to manipulate it alot, and it will be sore for awhile. But it does go away, I thot it never would, but it does. I am glad you are getting in more protein! Thats wonderful!! Just keep working at it. At your stage I ate a lot of cottage cheese, it has 13 gms of protein in a half a cup. Also, string cheese, just make sure you get low fat on both and you'll be fine! The string cheese has 7 to 9 gms depending on the size of the stick. Fish is the best tho. I saw you were eating Tilapia, that is GREAT!! ( thats my fav fish ) and its full of protein. Depending on the portion. Keep up the the great work!!

I'm thinking that mine went "well" into the 6th week. Not "unbearable" just uncomfortable. and it did get less and less each week. That was probably the most "long-lasting, worst" part of the whole surgery, so I didn't complain too much!! And, it WILL get better!!! Sounds like you are doing GREAT for the most part.
Hugs, Pam
