Do you have OAB?
I am embarrassed to ask for your input but here goes>>>>>
Have any of yall developed overactive bladder control after losing a lot of weight?
I don't have trouble while laughing or sneezing. Just urgent signals. I talked with gyno nurse practitioner. She gave me Detrol. I have not taken it.
I don't like to take meds, I almost never take an aspirin. I don't want to hurt my pouch. I don't even take antiinflamatory med for knee and ankle pain.
Yes, I have tried Kegal exercises. I feel weird doing those. I am an OLD MAID,HEE HEE!!! LOL LOL I have never had children either.
I have lost 250 lbs. It does affect things "DOWN THERE". tmi tmi tmi
What have yall done about this kind of thing??????

You may be suffering from a prolapsed bladder, not just an active one, but one where the muscle is no longer firm enough to keep the water in. Everyone knows that rapid weight loss can require plastic surgery. Rarely, this includes a reforming and tightening of the muscles and tissue in the pubic area. If the stomach and arm tissue doesn't go back into place, it does make sense that some pubic tissue needs plastics to help it catch up with your body post-250 pounds.
You might need to speak to a urologist and a plastic surgeon.
I hope ths helps,
Frances
My bladder problems have actually improved since I've lost weight. But, I've never had an "overactive" bladder, just the sneezing, coughing, leaking thing!!! Kegals are a little "weird' feeling (I'm an Old Maid, too LOL" but they really will help "tighten things up" if you stick with them!!! But then again, NOTHING is going to tighten up these "bat wings" I have under my arms, so maybe your "bat wings" are just "relocated"!!! Oh my... The "issues" we have!!! It probably would be a very good thing to discuss with your gynecologist or a urologist. Best wishes!! Hugs, Pam
