I have reached my goal!!!! Yesterday the scale showed 139.8 and I was excited but usually won't get excited till I see it three days in a row. Well this morning the scale showed 138.6. So I am very excited. I had one of the best workouts yesterday and I am so sore today in places that I didn't think I could be sore at. I ordered a DVD from Chicometrics (heard about this on the lightweight board) I got it in the mail yesterday and stopped cleaning house to do it. It is long but well worth it. It is not the huffing and puffing, sweeting workout that I have done in the past but it is a killer workout. Then last night my daughter and I got into a little argument and I wanted to go for a leisurely walk to think things through. I put on my tennis shoes and my dog got excited, she knows what that means. I do usually take her when I go, but last night was different. I have a fairly large dog 70+lbs she didn't take me for a leisurely walk but a run. I have never ran around the block but I did last night. It is a mile around the block. She has been use to going with my boys and they do run about 2 miles every night guess she thought I could do it too. Needless to say I am sore this morning but I will do my chicometrics dvd again tomorrow. Need to give my muscles a little break. My goal is to do this every other day....

I have been wanting to order chicometrics... now that I hear someone from "home" has actually tried it.... You really liike it? It is really a good workout? and is it very hard to figure out what they are talking about? You have done amazingly well with your weight loss! I am so impressed that you have reached your goal in less than a year, that gives me hope. I am what they consider a lightweight too... only needed to lose 120 lbs. (only, HA) Congrats again, on making your goal! Cindee

Let me tell you it is a workout. All you need is a chair. It is more of a repetition type work out and I could not do it all. I tried and did as much as I could. I am telling you I feel it in my face. There was a work out for the neck and muscles in the face. I can't wait to see if I get some good results. As sore as I am today I don't see how I could not. Will keep you posted on my results. Funny to think of us as lightweights, but that is what we are. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would get to goal this fast. It is truely and amazing tool. Wishing you the best, Jodi

Jodi, hey girl That is sooooooooooooo wonderfull I am so happy for you. I know it feels good too. I knew you could do it. I know you shocked yourself when you actually ran around the block with the dog. I need to really crack down this week. I am still at 143-145. I am going to go to soft foods and more liquids this week and see if that kicks off me loseing weight. I also need to see if I can stick to it too... I am working out a few days a week but this week I am planning on working out everyday. I ahve some really good workout tapes but they are in the POD and I don't have anywhere to do them. I have been working out on my mom's Gazelle by Toni Little. It does give you a good work out. I ahve been doing like 60-80 ntummy crunches too. I still hae about 10 pounds to go to hit goal. I want to at least lose 5 pounds before I go see Dr Lavin on the 16th of Aug. I know what I have to do and I just hope and pray I can stick to it this and do what I say. I know I can do it. But any way I am really happy for you that you made it. I am so close but yet so far way. Keep it up..... Love ya, Chrissy

Hi Chrissy, You are so right I did shock myself when I first started running. I thought yea I can do a house or two and then I will walk. I ran that whole thing. When I dropped her leash she just stopped and would not go any farther. Once I picked it up she pulled me, at one point I thought I was going to go tumbling over. It was probably pretty funny to watch. Girl, I am wishing you the best, how much are you eating? I found I was not eating enough and had to increase my caloric intake. I was tracking it on fitday.com and at one point I was lucky to get in 800 per day. I now try for 1000 - 1200 per day, based on something I read I need 1200 to lose weight. It did come from healthy foods and protein drinks. Seems like I started losing again when I did that. You are very close to your goal and have done a tremendous job. I know we focus on the scale but remember it is only a number. (I have to remind myself of that all the time because I am so addicted to it) I hope and pray you can get those last few off, Hugs, Jodi

Jodi, hey I have no clue how many calories I eat a day I have not been keeping up with it I just eat and then try to stay reasonable. I do my protein shake for breakfast with my vitamins, am snack a pack of crackers( ones with chesse or pb in them) lunch is a Hormel kids bowl, dinner is whatever I cook or mom cooks. I know I feel guilty when I eat alot and then don't want to eat. I quess I need to start writing down what I have eaten that day and see if I can figure out the calories. My sister in law tells me all the time that I am not happy yet. I asked her what she meant and she said well if you are weighing every day or other day to see if you lost. She said I need to forget the scale for a while. I know I can get in to a pair of 6 stretch jeans but, she is right I do want the number on the scale to be in the 130s not the 140s. I am happy to a point but after that she is right I am not happy. I am proud of the wieght I have lost cuz I wouldnot have done this good on my own. I guess I set myself up to be at goal by now and I am not and that is why I am not happy maybe. but like I said I am going to workout everyday this week and see what happens. what all do you eat? Let me know Love ya, Chrissy

Chrissy, Fitday.com is a good place to track your foods. It is a free website. I'm always for something free...I also decided to get my food within the Weigh****cher point system. This is usually what I eat every day. B 1 slice of whole wheat toast and a slice of turkey or 1 slice of whole wheat toast with peanut butter. S about 11:00am I will have a protein shake L Weigh****cher frozen dinner or something like that. The WW dinner usually has about 20 grams of protein S peanut butter crackers (four pack) or a handful of cashews D Whatever I fix for dinner or a WW dinner and maybe a small salad Sometimes before bed I may have another protein shake. You will get to goal, but please don't stress about the number on the scale. Remember how many diets you have been on and then got discouraged because you didn't get to goal. You have done an amazing job Chrissy and remember a lot of people take up to 18 months to reach goal. I know you will get there, Take care Jodi

Congratulations Jodi, I knew you could do it. Sounds like you did have a good workout. You might be sore but it is so worth it in the end. Can't wait to see some at goal pictures. Tina
