DOES ANYONE HAVE HUMANA CHOICE CARE ?

I have been denied by them. The Dr. Office called and said it was an exclusion in my policy. So I called the ins. They tell me that it is not covered unless it is medically necessary(whos isnt medically necessary?) so I called the Dr. Office back and told them this and they told me they would try again.I am sick and tired of fighting for this.It just makes you more depressed.Does the ins. Know what they are putting already depressed overweight people through.I AM FROM LOUISIANA, SO IF ANYONE FROM HERE HAS THIS INS.

i have been denied 2 times with humana - i have a written exclusion also and submitted proof of medical necessity due to co-morbidities and went to the 2nd level committee for review and was still denied. what gets me is we pay high premiums for our insurance and cannot get covered but LA medicaid covers the procedure with our tax dollars. (glad for them that can get it but sucks when you pay for insurance and cant get this done). hope i dont offend anyone but just frustrated about the insurance plans. they say we should contact our Legislators and request the pass a mandate for La companies to cover the procedure and the insurance would have to cover it. but it would have to pass the Legislator. Maybe if we all stick together we can have it mandated in LOUISIANA. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS AND REQUEST WLS BE A STATE MANDATE.
