NEED HELP MEDICAID

Hello everyone! I'm just getting started and need a lil help .I need to know of anyone that has medicaid and went and got ur sleep test .Where? R any kind of information .My regular doc can not find anyone that takes medicaid and will DO the sleep test.Please I need some help ! I don't want this to be my stopping point !

Hi Michelle! I just got Medicaid also.I haven't had to do a sleep test but I know NOrth Oaks Hospital in Hammond does them and pretty positive they accept Medicaid.I would call them and ask.Maybe all you need from your pcp is a referal.Hope this helps!

Hi michelle, I had my sleep test paid for by medicaid, my pcp refered me. Call totally sleep diagnostics. They have like 3 hospitals they deal with all accept medicaid. I forgot the locations, but you can get it from them. I think your pcp will have to give you a referal. I think this number will help 1866-629-8537 or 985-624-8538 if those dont work I will call my pcp and get the correct number. Good luck

As you already know medicaid paid for my surgery, but I didn't need the sleep apnea test! I'd call Medicaid to see if they could point you to someone!

Please understand, I'm not Medicaid, but MEDICARE, which I think is pretty much the same thing. (I don't know for sure) Too, I have my husband's group insurance as primary. Anyway, I had my sleep study done at Sleep Solutions. Might be worth a shot to check with them. Good luck to you. Mary

Hi Michelle! Your doctor should try contacting the Earl K. Long Hopsital in Baton Rouge! It's a very good learning hopsital! They did everything they could for my mother before she passed away which was no fault of theirs. I know that they do take medicaid! I am a Louisiana native and lived in Baton rouge for 7 1/2 years. My Mom was on Medicaid and I know how hard it is to find a doctor. Try the doctor search hotline for Baton Rouge. I am certain that someone in Baton Rouge can do it! Don't give up!
