Support GRoups in New Orleans

Does anyone know where there are support groups in New Orleans? I am 3 months post op, down 63 pounds and need to the support of a group. Please let me know.

Hey Shannon, Debbie Farrell and I are trying to organize informal meetings. A group of us just met on the Northshore at StarBucks on thurs. However, every Mon from 6:00-7:15, there is one at the Omega Hospital. I was thinking about going. Hope this helps, Debbie

Debbie, I am game to go to the support group at Omega, but just not this week. Tomorrow is my birthday. 49 years old and sagging like crazy! Anybody wanna pay for plastic surgery for me for a birthday present. hehehe. But really, back to the subject, we could always meet at a starbucks or CC's coffee house in Metairie, in an informal way, in order to get to know each other. What do yall think? I will post this as a main topic on this board and see if we get any other people who might be interested. Heck, we have three already, Right? Me, You and Shannon? Debbie

Debbie, I caught the other post first. Well Happy Birthday to you!!!!! Better 49 and saggy than your BMI being 49 Are you doing anything special? I hope so. I really did feel bad about not coming the other night. Dr Raum told me that he thought that I may be coming down with a virus. He saw a slight bulging in my ears. Said that the Sudaphed was the right thing to do. So I was packing my drinks and food to go meet ya'll and took another Sudaphed and it got stuck!! I even thought about coming once I felt human again, but I got to thinking about the fact that he said it could be viral and I did not want to spread it around. I did end up feeling blah for a few days, but I am all better now. Hope to meet with ya'll this week! Debbie
