Plastic Surgeons??
I need a little help choosing a plastic surgeon. I was wondering if anyone had a preference for a plastic surgeon here in Louisiana or in Texas. I know its cheaper to have it done in Texas, but I'll consider it in Louisiana also. Please someone help. I need some stuff done and not sure where to start. I've been to the plastic surgery website, seen a million doctors names but dont know of anyone who has had anything done by any of them. Please Help! Thanks!

My surgeon recommends Dr. Brian Strand to his patients. I don't know anything about him but wanted to pass along this info to you.

Cheaper in Texas? Wow! That's not what I found AT ALL! I live in NW Houston in The Woodlands. Maybe everything is just more expensive there!!! Every doctor I checked with was 1500-3000 more per procedure. YIKES!
I think cost and care depends on what type of PS you are having. *I* believe in specialists. I do not want a general plastic surgeon for anything. I want a PS that specializes. For example, when I had my breast lift, I used the best reconstructive breast surgeon around. He only does breast reconstruction. I needed a reconstruction. The lift took 7 hours. I had no implants. It was just a lift. 7 hours. The result is unbelievable!!! My husband calls them "the $25,000 breasts" because that is how much he would have paid for them and still felt like he got a great deal. LOL (Let's not tell the PS that lest he start charging just that! LOL)
I have also had some work done on my face and for that I selected a FACIAL plastic surgeon. My FPS only does FACES.
It doesn't make sense to me that, for example, my friend had a plastic surgeon who is known for his work with breasts, do her face lift. She is not satisfied and wonders why!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I think it's great that you're getting referrals from people/patients. *I* believe that we should consult with several surgeons before making a selection.
To me, this was a huge decision. Especially when having work done on the visable portion of the body (the face) and the most sought after body part (the breasts), research for the best should be well done.
*I* also believe that we get what we pay for. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. PS isn't supposed to create a new you but rather help you look like a better you. Plastic surgery is not a time to look for cutting costs or saving a couple of thousand dollars. It's not worth the risk for *me.*
My surgeons are in Mandeville. If you would consider traveling there and are looking for PS for breast or face, e-mail me and I'll give you their information.
Best,
Vanessa
