OT: My UPS man's head will roll!!!

I hope nobody here is affiliated with UPS, or my UPS driver, but I need to vent. I'm getting ready for my trip overseas for my brother's wedding, and I really haven't had time to shop (as large women, y'all know how difficult that is), so I ordered a bunch of clothes online from Roaman's. I was supposed to receive two packages today, both containing several items of clothing. When I tracked them this morning, they were on the delivery truck, so I anticipated I'd find them in front of my door. Lo and behold, when I pulled up in front of my apartment, I found no Roaman's bags, but instead a tiny little box, which was addressed to someone on the opposite side of the apartment complex! I went to that apartment, thinking my packages might be there, but the packages and occupants were nowhere to be found. So I thought this might just be a fluke, and my packages are coming tomorrow or something. I got online to track them, and lo and behold, the system says they've been delivered! I called UPS, and they said they would try to contact the driver and return my call within an hour. I'm supposed to be getting a haircut and brow wax tonight -- I don't have time to wait an hour! I am so mad at my UPS guy -- I so want him fired in the most miserable way possible! I know I'll cool off and not feel so bad about the situation, but seriously, what kind of fool delivers a package to an apartment complex without checking the apartment number first? Grr!

I feel the same way about UPS. They have screwed up so many deliveries to my house. I never believe the tracking either. The packages never come on the day that the tracking says. I much prefer Fedex and Fedex delivers on Saturday. UPS is supposed to deliver a 5lb tub of protein powder to my house this Friday. If it doesn't come on Friday, I will have to wait until Monday to receive it. I am almost out of protein powder. I think UPS is the worst company for service. Lynn J., lap RNY 9/29/04 -160 lbs.

I feel your pain. I ordered a massaging office chair for my husband for Christmas last year, and they delivered it to my neighbors who where not home when I went looking for it. Anyway when I called them they said it was delivered to the back door. I said that is impossible I don't have a back door only a front and side door. So they contact the driver he says he delivered it. I said not to me he didn't, plus I was home at the time he claimed to have delivered it. So he comes back over this way and I see him at their house so I walk over there and tell him who I am. He says this is where I left it. I asked him did you bother to look at the address on the house it plainly says 396 not 403 on it. He apologizes and when my neighbor opens the door she says she hasn't received a package. At this point I'm pissed. So she calls her husband and he says yeah that something came it is in the shed. Of course she has no key to it. But her son can get in without the key. Well he had started putting it together thinking it was one of his Christmas presents. I guess the whole family can't read, because it plainly had my name on the outside of the box. Anyway the bottom of the chair once snapped into place couldn't be taken apart again so I had to hide it for a month like that. Which was not easy to do. All this because a stupid driver didn't check the address and just left it at a bunch of idiots house who couldn't read. And to top it off the box got wet somehow and started to come apart. I hope you find your packages soon. Tina

Doesn't it always happen that way??????? If you didn't need the clothes they would have been there! However, we have wonderful UPS delivery men here...two of them go to my church and they are courteous, smart and do a wonderful job, not to mention working really long hours. I understand your exasperation though! Hope you got your stuff.
