NEW TO THIS

Hi everyone .Im kinda new to this board.My name is Stefanie, I live in slidell.I'm 25 years old and have a 6 month daughter, named Bailee.I have been reading all you guys posts and profiles.All of you have done such great jobs.Im in the process of setting everthing up for my surgery.i love meeting new people ,so im hoping to meet some long term freinds on here... oh yea my appt with my surgeon is on the 27th,at that point i guess ill find out if im approved or not...I cant wait..

Welcome Stefanie. I have met some wonderful people on the boards and they can all relate to the happiness, troubles, joys, disappointements. All the emotions that go along with the process of getting surgery and the after care. I hope all goes well for you. I tried to look at your profile, you don't have much written. One little piece of advice, (you don't have to be real personal or give details) but journal your journey. I think it is so important to be able to go back an read and sometime to just see how far you have come. Heck that just gave an idea for a post. Anyway welcome to the board. Jodi

Hi Stefanie, Welcome to LA!!! We have some great people on this board, not to say that the other boards aren't any good. Heck, I just found out that there is a board specifically for the post ops of September 2004. I never there was such an animal. We are having a little get together on Thursday. You might want to just stop in and see what you think. Don't let anybody scare you away from what you want for yourself. Believe in yourself and never be afraid to ask if you don't know. We have plenty of people who know it all around here. No---- I am just teasing. There are plenty of people that will hold your hand and keep you going on this board and that is something that is just needed sometime by everyone. Welcome to new health. Its so weird , but i dont think i have ever meet a nicer group of people than you guys.Thanks for the welcome arms...Im actually thinkin about going thursday since im now living on the northshore.IM originally from chalmette but that witch katrina changed that..but i love it over on this side the lake...what time are yall meeting again?

Stephanie, Welcome to our place. congrats on taking the first step in what will be your new life. I had my RNY Aug 16th of last year. I live in slidell also so feel free to email and we can talk over the phone and I can answer some of your questions. as far as making new long term friends you have several on here that you will be close too. well take care and keep us posted as to what is going on.
