Where is everyone at?
Hi Debbie, I check the message board several times a day and I posted a great deal last week. Since the OHLA meeting, I've been mostly checking to respond and not originate posts.
I think the slack you see is just the Fourth of July holiday weekend taking its toll on people's time. I'm sure things will get back to normal. But I'm sure you will always get a response.
Take care!
Frances
Debbie,
I read almost every day, but do not post too often. I wouldn't be interested in a Northshore support group as I live on the Southshore. I think my surgeon's office is having support meetings at Omega Hospital in Metairie and I am thinking about going. But if anyone wants to start a group on the Southshore, I would go. But I am not a leader, I am a follower.

Hi Debbie,
I don't post to often but I usually try to respond to others that posts. I mainly hang out on the light weight board, I find a lot more support on that board than I do here. There are just a few people that respond to my post ,for the most part I feel like an outsider on the Lousiana board although I do live in Lousiana just not south Louisiana.
I posted a wonderful wow the other day and one person responded. That is not much support. I will continue to read this board and wish others well, after all that is what these boards are about.
Hi Denise,
I'm unsure if you think we avoid you guys, but please know that those of us in South Louisiana don't avoid posts from folks in North Louisiana. Honest.
We do have the advantage of just being closer and some of us meet and hang out from time to time. In a perfect world, we could be one state group with meetings in 3-4 places around the state or if someone takes it on, there could be a parallel group that meets in North, South, East and West. But I think we can provide equal support on the Louisiana OH board.
I didn't know Greenwood was in North Louisiana until it was just mentioned. Ok, I'm ignorant, but I'm sure we don't choose to "not" post to you all. From time to time, this board just gets a lack of activity in general.
Louisiana is having a tough time after Rita and Katrina and lots of us have been tossed around. Let's not give up on each other yet.
All my best,
Frances
Jodi,
I don't suppose you would believe that until recently I thought you were from north of Denham Springs.
I think this board gets slow sometimes and I'm almost 24/7 on the lap band board. I don't find any support for lap bandsters here, but I'm sure it's just a considence or you all are really jealous of my overwhelming curves
If I didn't respond to your wow moment it was because I read it and I was still hanging the noose from the ceiling.
Good going, by the way
