I won't feel like my insides might pop open if I move the wrong way? It really isn't painful, just uncomfortable and very noticable. It makes me want to move slower then i know I could be. How long until you were able to sleep on you side comfortably? I can do it it just feels like something is pulling and I'm afraid I might pop something open. Did anyone have loose bowels post op? I didn't expect this, in fact I expected the complete opposite. Sorry for all of the questions............just full of them right now, I'm 4 days post op.. Thanks for all of your help. Darla

Darla, Everything you are going through is normal. It took a few days maybe a week to be comfortable in any position. Your whole insides have been re arranged. Just be careful, you won't pop anything. Your swollen stiched up and it does feel like it could explode, as the swelling goes down you will notice less of this. Now as far as the losse bowels, yes I did have that. Everytime I went to the restroon it was loose and gross, is the best way to describe it and to be grosser it stunck so bad. It started in the hospital for me and lasted maybe a week or two, then I got constipated at about 21/2 to 3 weeks out, I ended up taking Milk of Mag. It will all work out, everything is normal so try not to worry. Hugs, Jodi

Jodi, I appreciate you so much. You always are quick to reply and you have a way about putting everything that makes me feel so much better. It is good to know that I am normal and none of these feelings are anything to be worried about. I was reading your post about shopping and getting smaller and smaller sized, I will be so glad to be at that stage. This part of the journey isn't all that pleasant yet. I know in a few months I won't even remember all of this, like giving birth. I'll talk to you soon. Thanks again. Darla

Hey Tina, I know what you mean by sleeping in the recliner. I finally gravitated to the couch last night and slept pretty well. I can tell it gets better everyday, it's just on those rough days it doesn't seem like it is happening soon enough.

I know what you mean but before long it will seem like it was ages ago and you won't even remember how bad it was. When the weight starts falling off it will all be worth it. Tina 336/195/145
