OHLA meeting tomorrow

Many of you will get this twice, but here's the flyer for tomorrow's meeting: http://members.cox.net/franspencer/ohla/ I've also spoken to Monica at OH about meetings in other parts of the state. Of course, anyone who wants to start a new chapter as a leader can do so with all of our blessings. The OH support groups, however, do have a lot of requirements that OHLA has already met thanks to Kat's work prior to leaving the state. We have more than 20 documented members, have attended an OH event (Houston) and a few other things. If any of you are interested in becoming chapter leaders, I would suggest we work together as one group, get new leaders through the OH process and then branch off as each new area has the needed membership. Note, this doesn't mean you all can't be meeting in Shreveport, Lake Charles, Morgan City (hint, Dee) or Metro New Orleans in the meantime. I can just share the OH-related information and our email group can remain the mode of communication across the state for all our areas and groups. There's a bill being studied by the Louisiana State Senate to require more coverage of weight loss surgery. Where ever you are, I hope you can join our effort to get support for this measure. Really just wanted to see if it would let me do all of them I guess it will. LOL

I think the boards are acting crazy. These don't show anymore in email responses, so I just got an email of symbols. Knowing that would have helped yesterday when I got a message that said : tongue : from Cindee. Now, I know. My favorites are and I don't use a lot, but I was once flamed for asking a white girl named steph why she always signed her post steph: I was accused of being "racist" against white expression.
