Final days count down............
I can't believe it is finally just about here. Wednesday will be here before I know it. My husband had his surgery and did wonderful. I can't believe he is doing so well. He had it on Thurday and I picked him up this morning, I wasn't expecting him to come home until Sunday. I prayed for the surgeon to have a text book operation with him, and I do think that is what he got. God is good to us. Still don't know who, if anyone will be able to go with me for the surgery, but I am just about in the mind set that I can do it alone. I don't want my husband to hurt all the hard work the surgeon did on him. Nor do I want him to be in pain sitting there with me. I have to be in ICU for the first night due to the sleep apnea. Did anyone else have to do that? Keep us in your prayers.
I am so glad his surgery went so well, now it is your turn. I hope your daughter will be able to be there with you. With you being in ICU you will have constan****ch and really won't need anyone there. (I'm not saying that to be ugly) Plus that first day and night you really won't care. I wish I lived closer so I could help you out.
Will be thinking of you, go**** won't be long and you will be on the loser bench.....Will continue to pray for you and your family.
Hugs,
Jodi
Hey D Kaye J,
You will be fine. I was in ICU at the Lake after my surgery on a Monday, and had to stay in there until Wednesday afternoon b/c they didn't have any beds in the reg hospital....... but it is standard procedure for my doc to keep you there at least one day. That being said, Jodi is right, you are gonna be on a morphine pump, and your not going to care who is there anyway ( not being ugly ). You will do fine, I will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I am so ready to get it over with and I know you are Jodi are right. I won't really care one way or the other once it happens, it's just leading up to it - it seems a little scarey, but I know I am going to do great. God would not have let me get this far to let something happen to me. I appreciate your prayers.
I'm so glad everything's going well with your husband! God is definitely good.
I think DC is right about not needing him. I've also heard from other OH members that the Ochsner staff is very good about keeping an eye on you. If I lived a little closer, I'd volunteer to come check up on you, but unfortunately, I live in Slidell and work in Biloxi, so it's kind of hard for me to get to Ochsner. But if you'd like, feel free to e-mail me and we can exchange phone numbers. Best of luck with everything, and please keep me posted!
Hi Rhonda...Thanks for your support, I really appreciate it. I am having my procedure done at Oshcners in New Orleans with Dr William Richardson. I am just ready to get it over with. My husband is doing great! I shocked at how well he is doing. I just pray mine goes as smoothly as his has. I live in Watson also, in Oak Place off of Springfield. Have a nice trip.
