Health Insurance After Gastric Bypass

Has anyone found a company in La that will cover or write a policy for health insurance after RNY I had my surgery 09/04 and am now looking for a policy. Can't find anyone to write a policy. Thanks C.C.

I applied with BCBS of Louisiana a few months ago and received a letter of denial stating that I had my lap band surgery less than a year ago. From what the rep told me, I can re-apply after I've reached my 1 year mark and they may cover me at that time. Two other companies flat out denied me regardless of any time that has passed.
