DFW POOL PARTY - July 1

Well it took a long process to get us here, but I think we're finally ready. I've longed to do an OH support group (similar to OHLA) now that I've found a new home in Arlington... and my housewarming/pool party is the perfect way to kick it off! And I do know what priviledged people we are here in DFW to have so many support opportunities to choose from... but I just had to add one with a Kajun touch, so I hope you guys will still come and show the support you are so well known for! When: July 1, 2006 - meeting at 11, swimming till we quit! Where: Arlington TX (post to get directions sent to you). What: OH meet then POOL PARTY Why: Because we can! Who: Anyone who can get here! Spouses & kids welcome (no pets please). If anyone wants to bring something to grill, we do have a propane grill available. I am hoping to have devised a low sugar high protein frozen drink recipe by then as well. We have a frozen drink machine, but I don't know any low sugar recipies yet. If enough people are interested, a crawfish boiling might be possible also. Any suggestions for other activities are greatly welcomed! If we get a few together, maybe we can go out to dinner/dancing on Friday night too! Hey Kat, How's it going? It seems that you're getting settled in Texas. It sounds like your place is great and I do envy having a choice of support groups. Our New Orleans/Methodist Mem support group is still in flux with Dr. O'Connell just getting his office set up in New Orleans. Are you moving ahead with surgery plans yet? I've been absent lately with my kids finishing Elementary School and Jr. High School plus Boy Scout and Autism Society stuff. So glad it's summer except for the heat!!!!! Anne 254/168/1??

Hiya Anne, thanks for asking about me... I'm exactly where I've been for two years now. Confused and kinda at a loss. I need to begin the 6 month diet over again because it has to be 6 of the last 12 months (for this insurance) and it's just kinda a lot of hoops... so although I have't exactly given up, I haven't exactly been proactive either.... I stopped going to the groups, it was too upsetting to see one success after another, while I still sit waiting. I'm on COBRA insurance and seriously debating whether or not to change insurance carriers. COBRA is expensive, but they cover the surgery 100% if I go back to my doc in New Orleans... the catch is the $5000 co-pay for this surgery... BUT I have to get them to say it's medically necessary (which they've denied so far) SO... I'm on the prowl for a new sleep study, and a Dr that can monitor my 6 mo diet... I can't exactly afford to go back to Ochsner docs every month... from Dallas. I dunno what to do... just feeling kinda stuck. Kat
