Car Accident

Thank you to all of you for keeping us in your prayers! Yesterday I felt like I was directly hit instead of the car. I went to a chiro b/c my hip was KILLING me. It was misplaced. It adjusted it back and that HURTTTTT!!! Kasey came with me and had some adjustments done also. We have to go back Wed. He said that the torn muscles will take some time to heal and the first few times we go to visit him we will be more sore. But afterwards it will start helping. As of yesterday afternoon the guy had not reported the accident to his insurance. They told me an adjuster will be getting with me within 48 hours. I'm taking muscle relaxers, but they make me feel woozie a tad bit. The ER was aware of my RNY being done a few months back, but she didn't feel that I needed that checked. My chest is still sore too from hitting the steering wheel. My left knee is still hurting a good bit and of course my back and tailbone area is a big ouchie!!! Kasey's neck is still real sore. The ride side of his ribs are very sore. They did an xray at the chiro to make sure none were broken. This morning my arms and legs are feeling better! Everyone have a great day!!! Love u all!!!!! Christie, I'm so sorry about your accident. Your and your sons angels were working overtime for sure. I know just about exactly where you had your accident. My husband is from Scott and we travel back there often....I almost rather take the backroads home from where we are. The interstate seems to drag out the Nascar driver in people....especially around where your accident was. It seems people need to get that last burst of speed right before Lafayette traffic slows them a bit.......like the extra ten seconds they get is worth putting someone's life (like you and your sons) at risk. That, and all that construction seems to irritate people.......so as soon as they are out of it.....BAM....ZOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!! I hope you heal quickly.............and I hope your son is okay too. I'm also familiar with the site of that accident. After Katrina, my family and I stayed in a hotel in Crowley (that was after a week in a hotel near Dallas and before a few more weeks in a hotel in Lafayette!), and that entire stretch of highway, except for those parts in and right around Lafayette, scares me silly. I was actually commuting from there to work in Biloxi (), and I would come home with sore hands because of squeezing my steering wheel all the way from the Atchafalaya Swamp on westward. I must have been the only one who felt that way, though, because practically everyone else was, like Kendra said, in Nascar mode!

Hey Girl,, Yea you will be alot more sore as the months come,, so plan ahead girl,, I hope you do ok,, thankfully school is over for the kids, or for most kids it is,, so kasey will be able to take it easy!!! hi sweety i know exactly how you are feeling. on may 12th i had a horrible accident myself. i was at north desoto middle school picking up my son from the end of the year school dance. parked my car, went to call him on his cell phone so he could come out and we could go home, but the school had him turn his phone off. so i turned on my parking lights and was getting out of my car when this woman backed slap into me as i was halfway out of my car. i hit my head, shoulder and my left knee is severly bruised and banged up from being hit by my dashboard and getting smashed between the door and the dash, thank god i still had my hands on the sterring wheel to pull myself back into the car. the lady got out of her truck and tried to tell me there was no damage... funny, it busted a headlight out, broke the grill, bent the bumper, put a stress crack on my fender, couldn't open the hood, we when finally got it open... it broke some stuff under the hood. the lady kept pleading with me not to call the police, she said her husband was going to beat her. i was thinking to myself, if you stay in a relationship like that then it is your own stupidity, but i was being selfish as i was hurting bad. the lady did not report the accident ever to her insurance company and would not return their phone calls. so just yesterday i had the adjuster here looking at my car. i know exactly how you are feeling. 2 weeks later and i am still sore as you know what. and i did in fact get hit twice lol, once by her, once by my own car. i hope you recover fast and i hope that kasey has a wonderful birthday all things considered! god bless, lori
