I am one week (and 1 day) post-op and I definetely feel better than I did at first. I am still not getting in all the protein that I should but I am drinking the carnation instatnt breakfast with powered milk and handling that pretty well. I am getting in all my fluids. I have a little interview for field placement next semester this friday. My friend said it was probably too early to go but I feel fine enough to go. Well I just wanted to drop bye and let everyone kmow who is having a little rough spot at first that it does get better AND I just wanted to tell everyone HELLO . Mona M

It will get easier to get that protein as you go on. The first couple of weeks is hard to drink it. Glad your feeling a little better. Tina -127

Welcome Back, Mona! I am happy to hear you are feeling so well!! Just don't push too hard, it will come back to bite ya. I still get kinda tired, and some days even need a nap. Good luck with your interview!

Mona, Each day get better and better. I started off with carnation instant breakfast and powdered milk. It didn't have that protein taste to me. Now I love Nectar and look so forward to my drinks. It took me a while to get all my protein in but it will come. Take care and don't push yourself to hard, Jodi

Hi Mona - I drank CIB until last week and I am five weeks out. I had a really difficult time finding protein I could tolerate. Just this week (after trying many, many different proteins) I found a ready to drink called EAS Myoplex Carb Sense that reminds me of CIB. I drink the chocolate fudge one every morning and it has 25g of protein. I get the rest of my protein through pureed and soft foods now. I am just now up to about 60g a day. Take good care of yourself!
