As far as eating I was on liquids for the first 6 weeks. As far as exercise I just walked. I was not allowed to do anything until I was healed and I don't really remember when I got to start doing more.

I had my surgery on 4/24. Exercise is limited to walking right now, as I still have a muscle ache in my upper left stomach area, where the big instrument went in. As far as eating, I was on clear liquids for 9 days, then onto soft foods and now, I am eating whatever protein rich food my lil tum will let me. I am trying shrimp tomorrow. My lil tum likes chicken salad made with low fat or fat free mayo, just enuf to make it moist, and with canned chicken only. Likes cottage, ricotta, string and cheddar cheese, refried beans and a little banana in my protein shake. ( i only do one protein shake per day, as I get most of my protein from foods). I bought some strawberries today too, and will try them tomorrow morning, in my cream of wheat. Doc just told me on Friday, to try different foods, bearing in mind the actual nutritional value and the carbs, i am only allowed ten carbs per serving. Oh, I also like V8, it goes down well. Good luck with everything.
