Hi Everyone!! been soooo long that I had forgotten my pass word and how this thing works..lol
I attended a party Saturday evening where I ran in to a friend who had surgery..she asked me if I ever get on this site..I just don't have the time these days between my 6 grandchildren (4 and under)..very busy stressful job. and both my kids graduating with a masters this year..My daughter from University of Cincinnati and my son from Harvard....
9 yrs ago in June I had RNY bypass surgery..10 yrs ago I was sure I would never see any of the above mentioned, I knew I was going to die.. My surgeon left the area not long after my surgery, so I often considered myself a WLS orphan. I have changed so much over the years. seen and experienced much. some I am so proud of and much very difficult ...I lost both my parents to lung cancer..two cousins to breast cancer ..very difficult times..more surgery a year and a half ago .
I have been ask how I have done so well over the years..well I back up once in awhile and ask myself if the path I am taking is the one I am happy with... Did I set myself up for failure?..a very good friend told me once...you may not be able to control what is going on around you...but always remember only YOU can control the way you handle it...soooo true.
good luck folks and don';t give anyone else credit for your success...you work to hard to give that to a doctor..friend or family member..YOU CAN DO THIS!!!.

oh and can anyone tell me how to change a surgeons name in your profile..I have looked and looked I can figure it out..it's been way to long..;;
Still working toward a healthy lifestyle by eating better, less and exercising. Did data entry work all day yesterday and drove four hours roundtrip. I was a tired old woman yesterday. However I did not eat poorly. My only error was Ruffles onion ring flavored chips. They were good. My other foods were strawberry whey protein w/2% milk, pear, pure protein bar, 16oz water, coffee w/creamer, piece of chicken luncheon meat and slice of cheese.
Today I started out with Chai tea latte. . I put a peanutbutter and chocolate whey protein drink in the freezer for later. I will have coffee w/creamer. Grabbing a pkg of cheddar cheese crackers, an orange and a pear. I will get more protein in solid form just haven't decided what. I will add a couple of bottles of water to this menu.
Must go to doctor today to get immunization for yellow fever since I plan to travel to Brazil and not sure where we will visit. The doctor may feel it is unnecessary, but we shall see.

On the positive side, got my visa in the mail today. Yeah Me. Only a few other things to do before going to Brazil. Losing weight is one of these things.

Its a niceday here in Kentucky and I can choose to keep it that way or spoil it by giving in to my desires to eat like there are no consequences.
I choose to have a nice day.
I've been wearing flipflops and now my heels are killing me so today I wear good sandles.
I started the day with Chai tea and then a sausage biscuit with slice of tomato.
Lunch will be a low carb high protein yogurt and maybe a string cheese I picked squash from
the garden this morning so if I simmer it with chicken protein powder I will have a start to a fine meal plan.
