On the days that I can't get to the gym, there's nothin' like movin' at home.  I like Body Electric too and use that as a great warm-up.  The main thing is "move it & lose it"!  Always good to communicate with you!  Happy Wednesday!

I have thought about memberships and everytime, it seems unworkable for me.  Being an early riser it benefits me to have my equipment at home.  Just as likely to workout at home as at a gym.  My equipment consist of elastic bands, red chair, treadmill, stationary bike, gazelle, weights, thigh master and the Zumba DVD's and the Hip Hop Abs DVD's.  I usually start my workout around 5:30 a.m. without leaving the house.  Also Body Electric comes on the television if I want to get started with it.
Since retiring, I'm more selective in spending.  A new gym opened up in town but it's $75 per month that I don't want to spend and DH would rather I workout at home.  He doesn't workout at all. LOL

Jeanie I know what you mean.  My friends from home come and visit me here in KY and I visit them.  We also get together with the congregation here.  They have been my friends since I knew what a friend was.  Most are Jehovah's Witnesses like me so we have a great deal in common.  There is nothing better than true friends.  I enjoy mine and seems like you enjoy yours too.
Take care,
Z

Let's see, I can continue to pay nearly $75 per month on a gym membership or go to another one for $30 per month and much closer to home.   Hmmmm...  Went to Urban Active this morning and am making the big switch tomorrow.  No contract, so it's month to month membership & for me, going to the gym is a big help.
What's been you experience?

Is it Tuesday afternoon?!  Time flies when you're having fun (& even when you're not) :)
Monday B. 3 oz. oatmeal, 1 big tsp. of brown sugar, 2 c. hot tea
L. met an old friend for lunch at Applebees, French Onion Soup, took the salad home
D. Healthy Choice Chicken, Potatos, Asparagus, 1/2 portion
Snax: mini bag popcorn, Yoplait Key Lime Whipps
Overall a good day.

Footnote: I have known Linda R. for 58 years, making her my oldest friend.  She actually remembers the day we met, back when we were 4 years old.  (She's such a smartie) Over the years, we have tried to stay in touch. Now that I'm retired & she is semi-retired, we get together every couple of months, usually with 2 or 3 other old friends.  Growing up, we all went to church together, went to same HS, and were in each others weddings.  I am blessed with many friends, but these life-long friends from years go by are very treasured... My point, hold on to those old friendships & don't let them slip away.  My "old" friends have been so supportive through the years & have loved me at size 12 & 24, & everywhere in between.   Be friendly, make & keep your friends & you will be glad you did!

So happy to find sensibility. Hope all had a good Monday and plan to work with their tool of choice to achieve reasonably set goals. I have chosen to drink my water, exercise, take my vitamins, journal and plan my meals. An occasional side step will happen but plans are to always get back on track.
This is what I ate yesterday. What about u?

I knew it was too soon to go back to Chinese.  Did well until it came to dessert.  The cookies did not win but the cake and ice cream did.  When I got home did not do much better.  I think the hidden sabatour is coming out.  I will get strick with myself Tues - Fri.  I will relax when I board ship on Sat but I've vowed to myself to eat smarter than last cruise which added ten pounds.  Here's what I ate yesterday.  Went over my own limits in everythiing just by choosing unwisely not portion size.  It can happen so easily when you don't plan.
Yesterday's damage.

Congrats on your victory.  When the scale does not cooperate, it's these small victories that spur us on.  I do believe your hard work at journaling, exercising and working with your food plan has contributed to your success.  Keep up the good work.

Just curious if anyone here is attending this seminar? It would be nice to have a friendly face to sit next to during the seminar :)

Thanks!

For those who don't know, an NSV is a "Non-Scale Victory".  This morning, I had one- Went to get ready for the day, and pulled out a pair of Size 16 slacks to wear.  The last time I wore them, a couple of months ago, they were too tight.  NOW, they fit beautifully!  I do believe it's the exercise that helped me get into these pants.  Tiny? No, but compared to the fact that I was bustin' out of size 24 just 3 years ago says a lot for Exercise & Weight Loss Surgery! Thankful for the NSVs of life! Woo-Hoo!
