Ok exercise has been shaky lately.  It seems when I work on food it is hard to work on exercise as well.  However I will work on it.  Taking my vitamins and drinking liquids are a standard for me.  Eating out is always hard to record, I'm usually unsure of contents or just how to guesstimate ingredients.  But log it I do.  Here's what I ate yesterday.

My band is has always hated hard fried chicken, which I love so if I'm not exceptionally careful. I get stuck.  If it is very moist I enjoy it.  Don't need the skin anyway.  Congrat on no cake and small bowl of banana pudding.Take care,

Dr. Tom Sonnanstine did my surgery in G-town, KY and I loved him,  he is leaving G-town and going to some place in Ohio, I forget where, but I plan to follow him.  I can't imagine going to anyone else.

I had some trouble today with food.
I had coffee after cottage cheese nd apple sauce for breakfast- which was suuuuuper since I made homemade waffles wtih whipped cream and strawberries for my family.
For lunch I had two chicken tenders from Zaxby's and that is where it went wrong....they did not agree- chewed well maybe too fast. I was a birthday party and had no cake or ice cream. yeah me!!
Since the did not agree I did not eat a thing until 7.5 hours later- peanut butter on whole wheat crackers (a go to food for me when feeling icky). I had 5 open face.
I had that tiny bowl of banana pudding I was talking about yesterday and that is it.

Not too good getting my foods in, but I have had good fluids and ok meds and vits.

I have tuna salad for lunch with celery and cucumbers for tomorrow. I will pack a protein bar for pm snack. And I KNOW I will have cottage cheese for bfast and then coffee to drink thur the am.

I had my at Norton Suburban with Doctor Shina. I know some do not like his bedside manner (even some of those have reported he has impressed them with a new attitude of late) but I really like him. He is very straight forward and will require a ton of tests before surgery to ensure you are healthy- which I totally respect. He will tell you what you need to do and how to do it, but he will also tell you it is up to you to do it.  I live a bit further out than many of his patients being about an hour from Louisville so he had a home health nurse come and check on me for the first two weeks. Again something I appreciate about him. And he does his follow up appointments for check-ups and the like-- some do not so ask specifically if you will see your doc for your follow ups if that is important to you.
I have had awesome results as far as I can tell. Alittle over 2 years out and I am maintaining my loss. I went from a high of 326, at surgery 298 and then now, between 155 and 160. He will stress support and that has been a HUGE factor for me...groups or friends whatever you will need it so search it out NOW...go ahead of time and make some new friends.
  SO in all I will say I am extremely happy with my surgeon- sorry it got so long.

Yes, but if I knew then what I know now, I would make sure of the aftercare policies.

I live in Barboursville, WV. I had my surgery at KDMC as well. Dr. Wheeler was my surgeon. Very happy with the results. December will be 5 years.
