I went to Georgetown, had wonderful experience pre-op and immediately after surgery.  Post op care was not that great after my first surgery because the doctors had left and gone to Baptist Health, if that is what they use to call Central Baptist Hospital.  Dr. Weiss is an excellent surgeon, I just don't care for the fact that the PA and ARNP's do all the follow up work, or at least they use to.  

I was in touch with Georgetown Bariatric today and was told that they do accept medicaid and that it covers the gastric sleeve but only after a 6 month doctor documented diet. 

I read on the Kentucky Medicaid website that one of the revisions that they made to medicaid in 2014 that they will no longer  cover bariatrc surgery!!!!
