yes it's very quiet on here....
I'm in the middle of relocating and preparing to move to Indiana...I pop on both boards and read but don't post much
I really need the support too cause I'm up a few lbs...can't blame anyone but ME and my choices of ice cream and chocolate over protein!!!! Not to mention the lack of exercise!!!!
well hope everyone is doing well!!! We are headed to check out the Indianapolis zoo this am!

I'm with you.
I expect that the board will pick up as the cold weather moves in. I know it is hard to get on here with so much other things going on.
For me personally, I will probably become addicted to this website by next month.........when the holidays move in and the temptations are strong! lol

I check this board every day but don't post often. People aren't as friendly around here as I had hoped. And as another member was so kind to remind me-its a "take it or leave it" kind of place, so I opt to just leave most topics alone & connect with those that I like through PM or FB.

I couldn't agree with both you girls there were days I felt like I was the only person who even looked at this board anymore. I say we should all post something even if it isn't WLS related. We all have family, jobs, the holidays are right around the corner. I think any of us talking about anything is just good positive support cause let's face it after a while it can get boring talking nothing but lost weight, new foods, etc.
So here goes except for being on the tale end of swine flu and having no fluid in my band for the time being life is great. My husband came home last night and bought both Mollie and I orange roses just because it was Monday. Mollie felt so bad because I have been sick that she and Pat put out all of our fall/Halloween decorations and took down and packed up all of my patriotic stuff and stored it till Memorial Day I am getting a new dishwasher on Friday and Mollie is having her monthly visitation with her dad that night so Pat and I are going on a date to dinner at P.F. Changs and then to the comedy club.
The only complaint I have is up here by Cincy the weather is kinda screwy it has been raining off and on tonight and I had planned on if I felt better doing my final weeding before winter.

I think tooting your own horn is awesome. I am very excited for all of your loss and I hope the compliments keep coming from both hubby and your son.
I just think it is amazing how for so long (or at least I did) I let my self live the way I was living. I was a very large (240 lbs on a 5'1" frame) girl but not as large as some of the other ladies on here and it was so weird I actually got to the point were I wouldn't go out unless it was an emergency, to work(when I still had to work)or to the grocery. I was like a hermit I lost so much time with my wonderful husband and beautiful daughter. Until I became morbidly obese my mother used to say that my ego and my personality couldn't fit into the same room, but once I started packing on the pounds I just retreated inward.
Now that I am knocking on the door of an almost 75 pound loss it is like I am a brand new person- I love to shop again, I love to do my hair, wear makeup, put on high heels and we just have a never ending social life. It is so amazing to me that with the help of a little plastic band(even though mine is fluid free and just hanging there) some positive thoughts and a bit of will power has changed my life.
I owe so much to Dr. Tom, his nurse Steve and his old and new office staff they really have given me a new lease on life.

If you have anything on order at Game Crazy connected to Hollywood Video go get your money or at least find out if your store is closing. We had two things on order and hubby went to go pick up one and they informed him they were closing so no they did not have it. He had to ask for his money back...It gives the impression that they were not going to notify us they were closing.

I have not posted in a while but I am today. OH wrote me and said...post please.
I am. I am 6 months out and down 109 pounds.
I don't know about the rest of you but it is almost surreal at times. I have followed my doctor's requests for over 90% of it and it has not been bad. I have only gotten sick 6 times. I think I that is good.
I am happy with the changes. I feel healthier and I can tell that.
I am now in a size large shirt and 16 jean, 14 dress...some 12 dresses. I fit into a goal shirt I had held on to a SF 49er's shirt!
Hubby thinks I look great! He is always complementary and kind to me about my loss. My son says, Mommy you were always beautiful.
So that is the all about me post...sorry
