Yeah it is so crazy we have a 13 year old and really this is the first time ever in life she has ever been able to wrap both arms around me.
Oh and high heels I love love love high heels I forgot how awesome they make the rear end look now that it's not the size of the Hoover Dam(stopped wearing them years ago because they killed my feet but no more)
Oh and underwaer I never thought I would ever wear anything but old lady granny panties and bras that looked like test bullet proof vests for the military.
I don't know about stuff looking longer on me I am not even 5' 1" so I don't have much to work with as far as body parts looking any longer but thinner oh my yes.
Oh and the first time I could cross my legs again or curl up knees tucked under me in a chair or indian style it is so weird how much things that everyone else does everyday is so exciting now. I call my mom and say I did so and so and she will be like yeah and your point is.
Thankfully my husband(who is clearly not a girl) is at least in touch as he puts it with his 6'5" girly side to understand every time I do the non-scale victory dance he is excited for me to. He just is so glad that the band has at least enabled him to buy pants almost in the regular men's line( he still has tha height problem just not the weight so much now thanks to Dr. Tom)

It is amazing......and have you noticed that your thighs look longer and your lap is larger (ot that you actually have a lap that someone could sit on now!)?
And a neck!!!! I used to have no neck at all and now I feel like I have a giraffe neck! lol

I also thought about doing the 6 week session w/ Dr. Lisa but I cannot do it on the day of the week she has selected-I'm only available on Mondays or Wednesdays. :(

Has any else had this bizarre phenomenon were you are discovering bones and body parts you forgot you had???
This morning I was up at 4:30 and I was sitting at the computer on facebook with my friend Mike who is over in the big sandbox in Iraq and I had on shorts(which is even newer to me since I have not worn shorts since high school) well I looked down at my leg and I was like wow my thighs are actually normal size and I can actually see my knee bones well I was very happy and I told Mike to hang on a second I had to look at the mirror I can also somewhat see my collar bones. I got back on the computer and happily told him I have knee bones he (Master Sargent Jerkface only for today) said wow your almost 34 and you are just now learning human anatomy. He then said I think I knew I had knees at like the age of 3.
Ugh a lot of people who have not gone through this just don't get it.

Welcome to Kentucky! My doctor is in Louisville -- I live about 45 mintues south of Louisvile in Elizabethtown, KY. When I had my surgery (Feb of 07) there weren't any bariatric surgeons in my town....now there's one! Dr. David Geller is my doc with the Norton Bariatric group, He's a good doc & I've been pleased, I know it's really a personal decision, so good luck!! :-)
