Did you report to the hospital administration the care that you received at the hospital?
I am sure that they would want to know so that they can correct this problem so it will not happen to someone else.

Brenda I will keep you and your family in my prayer. I am having a little laproscopic up keep the week of Thanksgiving in Georgetown. This will make my 3rd time I can't eat Thanksgiving dinner in 5 years. Not worried, I am in great hands. My Gb went bad at Thanksgiving, the following year had to have a hysterectomy and now a little scar tissue. Just knowing I am having surgery I swear the pain is better. Not really.
Take care of yourself.

I would highly recommend having your mother there to help you. The nurses that I had during my 4 day stay were good, however I'm sure they were understaffed. Except for medications, my mother was the one who was helping me. She was the one who helped me to the bathroom, helped me wash my face, brush my teeth, and walked with me.
Over all, LCRMC was no better or worse than any other hospital. What made my stay there the best was knowing that I had the highly competent Dr, Husted to perform my surgery.
I wish you well on your upcoming surgery, it's so exciting to think of what a difference weight loss surgery will make in your future!

Brenda, sorry to hear that your mom is so ill and I do pray that she will go peacefully. It's times like these that stress can be hard to deal with so I pray for your comfort and peace also. Have a good week-end. Jeanie B.

Hello!
Welcome to the KY forum.
Dr. Husted is very easy to talk to. Just mention your concerns to him. Also, I believe he customizes the length of the CC to fit your needs.

Hi All, just wanted to drop in to say hello and hope you all have a great weekend.
I am at my office for a few minutes as it's within the same complex as the hospital mom is in.
We found out last night she now has cancer in her rectum as well as her knee...that's maybe 6 or 7 areas now. It's very difficult as I am so close to her. The oncologist told me today all he is trying to do is keep it from going to her brain. Just pray that she goes peacefully and the pain subsides.
On a brighter note. I went to Georgetown on Wed for an iron infusion.. Dr. Sonnanstine set me up in one of the rooms on the bariatric unit. the nurse Cathy was such a sweetheart and Dr. Tom came in to see me and I got my hug. After we went to his office so that my hubby could get a teeny bit of fluid out of the band. He is doing great on that.
I am doing my best not to stress eat and take care of myself..but it's not always easy.
I have been reading when I get the chance, sounds like everyone is doing so well. I hope to have a get together in the N. Ky/ Cinci area, it's just very difficult to do anything right now.
But next spring an event in Lexington is looking pretty promising. I will keep you all posted.
