Awe Jeeze!!

You two seriously just brought tears to my eyes!

Don't make me go all "Hallmark" on y'all but without a doubt.....what I have gained FAR outweighs what I have lost in this journey.  I'd give back every pound before I'd give up one of my babes!

My tiny aunt  (size 0) makes TONS of holiday goodies -- peanut butter balls covered in chocolate, toffee bars, coconut balls with chocolate, and more that I think I have blocked from my memory.  LOL  I have discovered that I don't dump on sugar, which is most unfortunate.  I was hoping that I would, but Halloween proved otherwise.  I do try to abstain from it 100%, but I've had a couple of little Tootsie Rolls and a pumpkin muffin with no adverse reaction at all.  Too bad!

I"m trying to program my brain to stay away from any sweets made with real sugar.  That's what got me to my highest weight and I do NOT want to go back there.

I just think that the holidays are so food-centered that it's hard to resist the temptation.  This is my first holiday season since surgery.

Way to go Karen. I have never liked St Marys for  many reasons. Every time I go there to visit someone I hear of another problem with the administration. This is just one more to add to the fire.

If I had to go to Evansville, it would be Deaconess, if I had a choice.

I hope we can find a support group that would welcome us instead of shunning us.

Thanks....John
Don't blame me. I voted for Sarah......

I had mine at St. Marys and they confirmed that meetings are only open to those that go through their program.  Seems kind of snooty to me.  They are supposed to be calling me back with a list of group meetings that are unconnected to any certain place.  I will let you know.  If they are more convenient to me, I may go to those instead.

Becca .....you have come a long way baby!

Seriously...imagine back two years ago sitting across the room from each other listening to George and not having a clue that within a year our paths would start crossing over and over again!  I still cannot believe its been that long! You are an amazing person and have given me so much inspiration and support and ENCOURAGEMENT!!!!!!!!  You picked me up from my lowest point in this journey and helped me regain my drive, commitment and determination. You helped me also get my grove back! I am blessed to have you in my life as one of my besties! The Bari-babe clique stands and applauds your accomplishments and you!!!!!!

Sol....you are funny! I am pretty good around the holidays but then this will be my first year to do the traditional baking I refused to do the last two years!  So that may be my downfall!  Lord give me strength!!

Good for you Becky, you should be proud of yourself. With all that weight loss, you should have no problem reaching behind yourself, and giving your back, a good pat. Go ahead, you deserve it....John

What will I have a problem with? Turkey, with the stuffing (you cant eat turkey without stuffing), gravy, mashed potatoes, candied yams, and dinner rolls with butter oozing out of them.

It is OK to eat green beans, Cole slaw, and deviled eggs, so I may put them off until another day. With Halloween, I just had my fill of pumpkin pie (sugar free, and used fat free Carnation, no crust).

If you want more, I could go on but I have to go fix breakfast. What will I eat?...John
