There is a tutorial on how to post pics to your profile, if that is where you'd like to post them?

http://www.obesityhelp.com/content/tutorial7.html

Or you can upload your photos to a site like www.photobucket.com, which will give you the HTML links for posting the pics here.

I think its easier to just upload them to your profile though, and then you can direct others there to see them. :)

Topic: RE: Question
I chose the lap band because I wanted a slower weight loss.  Its important to me that I lose weight slowly so that I can help shape my body by working out regularly, and hopefully avoid another costly surgery to remove excess skin down the road.  I also like that there are no chances of dumping with the band, and it is absolutely reversible should something go wrong.

Deciding between the band & RNY is a personal decision, and it is definitely something you will want to talk to your surgeon about to determine which is the best for you.  Make a list of pros & cons to help you decide! :)  Good luck!

hi, I am Lisa and I initially wanted the lap-band, but I had some stomach issues and the dr. said the RNY would benefit me more, so I had it instead, I have went from my highest weight 299 to 160, I am not going back up a little, but really watching what I eat again, I worked to hard to go back to where I was!!
Most people that hasn't had either one will tell you it is the easy way out, well believe me the first few months may be easy, but then you have to work at it. Hope you have an easy time trying to decide. I would have it done again in a minute!! I feel better, look better, and can do things that was impossible to do before!!!

Synthia, when I first started getting serious about the surgery about 2 1/2 years ago, I heard a few things about RNY that made me a little leery about going that invasive.  I'm sure things have gotten even "safer" with that surgery and I know it's a faster weight loss than the band, but I decided the band was best for me.  I love the Band and even though the weight loss is not as fast as I would like it to be, it is best for me and my body.  Slow but steady with the band means a few plateaus along the way but I still am making progress mentally, emotionally and physically.  Best wishes for soon becoming a big loser!

Good to see you back, Gwen.  The board seems to be a little slow these days, but it's good to see some activity here.  Kickin' up the exercise a notch always helps so press on!
