Topic: Getting Ready for Thanksgiving Anyone?
I have given in to peer pressure by my mother and am going to TN for Thanksgiving. I miss my family and enjoy their company. We will be having dinner out.....I am hoping that will be less tempting than having all sorts of leftovers in the house. Just hope I don't stuff myself or dump too bad.
We are going to kick start the holidays by going to Dollywood and watching Christmas shows that weekend and of course start a little shopping. Going to try to focus on that more than just the food component of the holiday.
Anyone out there have any suggestions for eating holiday dinners out.....something that can help me blend in with "normal" eaters......where it won't be obvious that I am not eating a lot?
Now....wish me luck in finding accommodations at such a late notice! lol

You might try the lapband board or facebook. Quite a few from Louisville area that had lapband are on facebook. I did not go there so I can't help you. Take care and best wishes.

My dr. was Dr. Wheeler, but they are all good, I have a friend that had him, and he is an awesome dr. the whole team is superb.

Could you guys post the times/dates of the meetings at the various centers/hospitals? I would really like to try them out and find the ones that I think would be best for me, but I never find out unless it is too late. A comprehensive list would be helpful for me to keep track!

Cathy, welcome to our small group. I am going to try to go to the Nov support group at St Marys. All of us could show up and eat all their cookies, and kind of overwhelm them. I'm for it.....John
