Hello Becky.  Good seeing you on here!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Keep the faith.  I know it is hard to want something and have to wait, but when the time is right, it will happen.
If you ever want to start walking, holler at me.   I need the motivation and it's nice to have others that can support you during weight loss.  Surgery or not.

Take Care.

Don't quite know where to begin...............

Sizes......22-24 to 2-4.
Riding in an airplane.........no seatbelt extenders needed :)
Riding amusement park rides.......the harnesses will now close and I don't exceed weight limits.
Wearing a bathing suit in public and not feeling like I need to hide.
Simply feeling like I fit in..............and not being embarrassed to be me.
Being more outspoken and standing up for myself......voicing my opinion.

Just a few off the top of my head!

Becky, welcome back.  Things are pretty quiet around here lately, but perhaps they will pick up.  Hopefully things will work out where you can have the surgery you want before long.  Meanwhile, believe that you can start making small changes that can make a difference in your health.  Keep us posted!

One year and 7 months later... like you say the energy level is far beyond what it's been in years.  I am less than one pound away from Onederland, I'm in misses clothes, (who knew?  the smaller sizes were just right around the corner from the Women's dept. at Macy's!) I am enjoying life sooooooooo much more and even though I still have at least 40 pounds to go, I am so thankful for my Band and the difference it has made in my life.  I used to always need a nap after school in order to get through the evening- no more.  I used to want to hide when someone brought out the camera- no more.  I used to get down the steps some mornings on way to work, remember something I left upstairs but not go back up because it took too much effort- no more.  I used to have to eat and eat to feel satisfied- no more.
At this Thanksgiving season, I'm thankful for my family, my church family, my friends, those with whom I work (including the students) and of course, Dr. Allen and staff for helping give me my life back- what a blessing!  Thanks for asking, Teach!

I haven't been on in a while. In July I was in Ashland with my mother she had to have open heart surgery and after that i have been with out internet up until now. I have looked at Holli's pics, she has done AWESOME!!!! Congrats Holli.....Sorry it took me so long to get back on, I have missed you all. I am anxious to see what has been up with all of you... Still no surgery for me as i have no insurance at this time. I guess I can hope for it though and know that this is the best support system afterward, If the moment ever comes along.  I am so excited to be back....
