Hello!  I haven't posted here in a while and thought I'd pop on and see how everyone is doing.  It was 5 months ago today that I had my RNY.  I feel so much better and am truly thankful that I was able to have it.

The last time I weighed a few days ago, I had lost 92 pounds.  I'm hoping to hit 100 before Christmas.  I'm off all blood pressure and cholesterol medication and don't have the awful swelling of my ankles that I did prior to my surgery.  I've been on two trips in the last two months and did fine with both long plane rides and hours in the car.  In the past, those situations would have been painful for me.  I'm also sleeping much better now that I don't have to use my BiPap machine any longer.

I hope that everyone else is doing well and had a great Thanksgiving.  I don't do well with turkey, so I just ate soft foods on Thanksgiving. 

I'm hoping to make it to the next support group meeting at Norton Suburban.  Hope to see some of you there!

Other than the swelling, all the symptoms sound like what I had when my gallbladder was bad.  I'm sure you know rapid weight loss can zap a gallbladder. 

Do you have pain under the ribcage that radiates into the back shoulder blades?  Mine would come and go as well.  Actually, the 2 weeks prior to having it removed I had no symptoms at all but by then it was decided the bugger was coming out since the ultrasound showed I had two stones which I named Pebbles and Bam-Bam!

Knock wood that you continue to be pain free and your doc figures out what's causing the problem quickly!

Do you still have your gallbladder??

It is funny that you mentioned being swelled like you are pregnant.
