Hang in there!  Most people will tell you, this is par for the course.  You'll feel little to no restriction until after your 1st or maybe even your 2nd fill.  Follow the Band rules and know that this is not a quick loss journey, but you will slowly and surely reach healthier life style AND weight loss.  I remember coming here a LOT in the beginning just for the encouragement and great ideas you find here.  Keep on keeping on and CONGRATS on a great 22 pound loss!!!

Just got a call from physicians office my insurance gave approval for my surgery! What  a wonderful early Christmas present. They gave approval for the lap band but the insurance specialist told me if I decided I want to do another type of surgery they could call and get it changed! Everyone make room I hope to join the losers bench soon!

I went through the exact same thing as you!  I was hungry within days of being out of surgery, and was ready to eat a small cow by two weeks out!  I'd suggest you request to move your first fill up sooner rather than later, otherwise you'll be stuck in this Bandster's Hell until you start trying for restriction. 

In the mean time-stick to your post op diet!  You can do it!  :)  It will be hard, but its worth it!

Can anyone give my some advice?  I am about three weeks out of lap-band surgery.  My first fill isn't for another two weeks.  I feel no restriction and I am hungry all the time.  I've tried keeping my protein shakes and water requirements.  This site keeps me from reaching for a bad snack.

I've lost 22 pounds since my surgery but I feel as if this hunger will consume me.
