Thanks for the tip, Z!
I have also found a support group @ Vandy that posts here on OH.
If this site is inactive then I won't be here long; but it has been a wealth of info for preparedness and awareness.
Hope you are continuing to have positive changes since your surgery!

Kentucky site is very inactive.  I post here because this is where I started and hope some can learn from my good habits and bad that they read about.
Since you are having sleeve I would suggest you go to the VSG site for encouragement and direction.  I wish you the best on your upcoming surgery.
My husband didn't have wls but he had a bleed on the brain and was flown to Vandy.  He received great care.  Don't know about the bariatric section.  Take care,
Z

So happy to be at the half-way mark on the journey to surgery this spring @ Vandy.
Glad to be finding WLS friends in Bowling Green but not finding many on this site.
Looking forward to next support group meeting in BG on Jan 19th as I get lots of info from those that have had surgery already.

I'm not a very active reader or poster yet; but hope to share more following each visit to doctors leading up to and after surgery.

Good luck to all!

So proud of you.  I will be 57n in March and I will be one year out the 24th of this month.  It had not been easy for me, but then nothing worth doing is easy.  I had the lap band in 2008 and it was a joke.  I don't recommend it to anyone, but my RNY has very much been worth every thing that happened and all that I have been through.  Really haven't had any major problems, but since it was not a "virgin" surgery and I don't really think that is to blame, but I am just a plain ole slow loser.  I have lost right at 80 lbs and have about 20 to go to make Dr. Tom's goal, but I would actually like to lose another 40 lbs.  I don't know if I can do it or not.  I am going to see Dr. Tom in March or April and I hope to have those last 20 lbs off by then and then he and I will talk about what is next.

I pray I am a succss story at 5 years and so proud of you.

Jacqueline
