I need to get more water in this evening, but I've done pretty well with my food today:

breakfast -- hot cocoa with 1 cup slim milk and lite cocoa mix (2 points)
snack -- 2 ounces lite yogurt (.5 point)
lunch -- 3 slices deli selects turkey, 1 slice lite cheese, 100-calorie sun chips (3.5 points)
snack -- 1 slice lite cheese, 1/2 cup diced peaches (2 points)
dinner -- 2 fried eggs, 3 slices bacon, 1/2 waffle, 1/4 cup syrup (10 points)
snack -- WW frozen candy bar (3 points)

I'm using WW points to help guide my food choices, and today I'm right on target with 21 points. I feel like I've had plenty of calcium and protein

I'm checking out a gym that's near my home after work on Monday. Having a place to exercise (and spending money on it!) will help keep me accountable.

OK, I had my fill and I am now at 4.4cc in a 4cc band.  I thought I was going to be super tight but tested it and things aren't as tight as I thought!  I can tell this one is going to be a moody little witch though and earn her name of Sybil daily!  My latte's gurgle down slowly and make me belch like a frat boy at a kegger but I can also eat salad!  We went to Rafferty's on New Years eve and split a salad and each had a cup of soup.  I figured I was wasting my time with the salad and would have to go re-gift it to the toilet god but it stayed down!  Then at 2am we ended up at Waffle House because Superhubby wanted grits!  I picked at a small serving of hash browns (smothered, covered, chunked and peppered) with his help and those were regifted!

The scale is moving though!  Today it says 187 (down from 191.6) so that's 4.6 pounds that have gone bye-bye!!

May as well start the accountability post if anyone wants to join me PLEASE DO!!

FOOD

breakfast:  S/F caramel latte w/ 12oz 1% milk
lunch:  1 fried egg and 2oz ham
went out to an early dinner:  Had a side ceasar salad and ate less than half of that, had maybe 4 or 5 bites of crab and lobster au grauten.  Ate 1/2 the appetizer of fried chips though!

snacks:  I'm planning to be bad since we are getting the UFC pay-per-view!  Brownies and nachos.....yeah, I know but it's not really Monday yet.....

FLUIDS - had maybe 32oz water today.  Need to work on this!

FITTNESS - not scheduled to start this part again til Monday!

I am with you all.   I am ready.   i am up 3 lbs from my lowest and I seem to keep gaining and losing and god I don't even know what my lowest is anymore  lol.   I got a fill Monday .50 and it seems to be letting me know that a cupcake with pink is not acceptable...   puking back up pink icing is not pretty. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh   So my a$$ is on the wagon.    Hubby and I are committing to hit the YMCA everyday even though his a$$ has lost 17 lbs in the last 2 weeks and wants to lose another 20 and he will be down lower than he ever has been and this guy at his highes was 312 and is now 248 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  guys seem to lose faster with no problem and he eats things that he should not eat and still loses

off soapbox and trying to catch the back of the wagon and hanging on for dear life

Topic: RE: Gastric Bypass-- A few questions...
Hi!  I just had gastric bypass surgery six months ago today.  I am THRILLED with my results thus far.  I've already lost over 100 pounds and have gone from a size 30/32 to a size 16/18.  I am off all my blood pressure and cholesterol medications and don't have sleep apnea any more either.  I feel 100% better than I did before the surgery.

Everyone is different and there's no way anyone can guess how quickly you will lose weight.  I know a person who had the same surgery as I did the day before me, and she lost 100 pounds a few weeks before I got there.  I don't think it's uncommon to lose 100 pounds within 6 months, but not everyone is going to do that.  If I recall correctly, my surgeon said that 3-5 pounds a week is the goal during the losing phase.

I was off work for a total of 13 days after my surgery.  Everyone is different, but I was okay to go back at that point.  I did have some fatigue, but it wasn't enough to prevent me from working.

As far as the pain goes, it wasn't that bad.  I was off my pain meds pretty quickly -- I think it was less than a week after my surgery that I stopped using anything for pain.

I wish you all the best with your decision.  All I can tell you is that I wish I could have had it done 5 years ago.  It has been a lifesaving and life improving procedure for me.

Topic: Gastric Bypass-- A few questions...
I have been thinking about gastric bypass for a while now.. I am about to turn 23 years old and my bmi is nearly 50... I have heard so many negative things from people when I mention gastric bypass that I wanted to hear from those who have had it done already.... I am currently in RN school and have just over a year left... I would love to be able to have the surgery in about 6 months or so but I am worried about the effect it may have on school and work... How long does it normally take after gastric bypass for you to be able to return to school/work? My school runs year round and we only get a two week break every 3 months.. I guess I would just really like to know what to expect the first few months after surgery. How quickly do you lose weight? Is it really painful? I would appreciate any information.. Thanks so much!

I need this too.  My scales have gone up too.  I've gained 25 pounds this morning from my lowest.  I got 5 off already but it's a struggle this time.  Maybe the accountability will help.  I need all the help I can get.
