Topic: RE: Dr. David Geller? Lapband or Gastric Bypass? Do "fills" hurt?
I volunteer in the Norton Bariatric Center and I love love love Dr. Geller he is very nice takes time to explain everything in detail and in laymans terms so people understand fully.
I love my lapband and thankful I had it done and no the fills do not hurt in my own opinion

I had 2 pieces of turkey bacon for breakfast
Lunch - twisted protein bar vanilla yum my favorite
Dinner: 3 garlic and herb new potatoes
Snack 1 weigh****cher fudge bar
OMG and a gallon of lemon lime kool-aid made with splenda
No exercise today other than cleaning house and grocery shopping and fighting blue and white haired old people at Krogers felt like I was playing dodge ball getting around them and them running into me lol

I've got a bypass and agree with Leanne that it's a very hard and personal decision. I was leary of going back for fills and just was going to committ for a lifetime.
I had Dr. Geller and the only problem I've had is waiting in the office at times but he certainly takes a lot of time and I always bring my list of questions. He prints out a sheet for you to show weight loss and body mass and % of weight lost and I like that.
We're here to ask questions and I want to invite you to the support group either at Norton's downtown or Surburban. That helps too.

It depends on who you go to. My fills always hurt witih the first group I saw, but they always had to hunt my point and they also numbed the site prior to the actual fill. The doctor I now see, first off does his own fills, he goes straight in and straight out and no they do not hurt nor does he numb, which I think hurts worse than the fill stick.
Good aftercare is essential with all forms of surgery so before you decide on a doctor please look at his/her after care.

Hey Sandi...I have a dizzy issue sometimes when I am working out. I know it takes a while to regain your center of balance. It's just a few seconds, but ... not shaky, just dizzy for a moment. It is scary, but it never last long.
