Topic: RE: Hello! And Please Help! :)
I've lived in Elizabethtown for 20 years this July. I am origionally from Alabama but have also lived in Virginia & New York...are you being transferred to Ft. Knox? I have worked in the Radcliff area as well as E'town & I really prefer E'town....it's not very far from Ft. Knox either & is a better area, in my opinion. Welcome! Please feel free to let me know if you have other questions or if I can be of help in any way!

Welcome, Candace!!! I live in Elizabethtown, just south of Ft. Knox --- I had my surgery (lapband) almost 3 years ago in L'ville with Dr. David Geller. He was/is GREAT. I have lost 130+ pounds & would be happy to be support for you! There is also a support group in Elizabethtown, the 3rd Monday of each month, and it's not limited to those who have had surgery in E'town (we didn't have any local bariatric surgeons when I had my surgery in '07) Welcome...and feel free to ask any questions, you might have!! Pat B.

hey holli
if your appointment is not for a bit I would call. don't wait too long. IF it happens again call before your appointment. That could be dangerous.

Topic: RE: Dr. Sonnanstine
That is wonderful news Toni, congrats. You will do beautifully. Now if I may ask you or perhaps others may know this answer. I saw a quick "blip" some where that Dr. Sonnanstine will be in the Cincy/Nky area for a seminar in March. But now I can't find it. Can someone tell me if they know the information? I swear I have been on here an hour and can't seem to find where someone posted about it earlier.
Thank you for any info you can give.

I also agree, my best friend used him for her surgeoun and love him. I do too, he answered alot of my questions, even answered my emails! What surgeoun does that! Pretty awesome. Even when he couldnt answer he recommended a great surgeon who could. Hope this helps.

THANK YOU!!!!!!
I'm excited for the move; I think it will bring very good things! It is just a little stressful knowing I'll be recovering from the surgery in the middle of it, and not know anyone!
Thank you for the invite to the support group! You are already making me feel a little less worried about meeting people in the new area!! I will be there at that support group as soon as I arrive! :)

My surgeon is awesome. His name is Dr. David Geller and I think you'd really like him. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He will take patients who had surgery elsewhere, so please do give him a call. His number is (502) 893-7151.
I hope your surgery goes well. When you get here, please feel free to come to our weight loss support group meetings at Norton Hospital. There are monthly meetings at both Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville and at Norton Suburban Hospital. I go to the meetings at Suburban. Once you're here, I'd be happy to give you more details.
Kentucky is a great place to live and I hope that you enjoy your move here. Take care!

Topic: Hello! And Please Help! :)
Hi There!
I just found out this morning that we're moving to the Louisville/ Fort Knox area in about 4 months--so I wanted to introduce myself AND ask for a little help! :)
I am scheduled to have my RNY on March 10 here in DC--so I will be about 3 months post-op when we move. I will need followup care with a bariatric surgeon and am in desperate need of some suggestions! :) My plan is to start calling them now to see if they will take a patient for followup even if they had the surgery with someone else.
So, please please please suggest some great doctors and surgeons for followup for me to look in to! :) I really, really appreciate it!
THANKS!!
