can you ask for a copy and see if YOU can fax it yourself to the insurance company?

I used your doc and I have had NO troubles with him. I did have an issue with paperwork and it turned out to NOT be Dr. Shina or the office staff.

Ask the doctor's office if they saved the confirmations.  Ask for them. They sent them to me when I was trying to get the paperwork from the pulmonologist. This helped my cause and the pulm's office could no longer deny that they have them...and had to hunt them down to find them.

I would try this before the conference call. But, by all means if this doesn't work make a conference call.

good luck.

Get them on conference call!  Its seriously the best thing you can do.  Call your insurance company & ask them to conference you in with a call to the surgeon's office.  Ask them to fax the info while you're on the phone.  Trust me-you'll save a lot of time & frustration this way!

Good luck!

I have seriously been persuing my WLS however it seems like my doctors office is dropping the ball. I am not going to bad mouth any doctor here but I am starting to think I should change doctors.

I don't know if it his staff or my insurance company that is dropping the ball. Her is the situation:

All my pre-cert approval ionformation has supossedly been submitted 4 different times. The nurse says it has been done but the insurance company tells me "NO" it has not been faxed!  I have given the doctor's office 2 different numbers and they say okay all done. I call the next day and the insurance company says "not yet" call back for the next week and still no paperwork. This is ongoing and I want to proceed with my surgery.

CAN ANYONE HELP FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO????
