My insurance is covering the surgery. I have Empire BCBS it took about 10 days for the approval to come thru.
Keep trying, it seems most insurance company's are updating there WLS guidelines.

Dr Husted???   I have had all of my paperwork submitted to his office for about three weeks now. Was told by Carol that Ellen would submit to my insurance. Ive called several times in the last two weeks only to get the answering machine. I have left numerous messages but no one returns my call. I did speak to the Commonwealth Bariatric Center who told me that Dr Husted had moved offices but wasnt able to give me a new number or any additional info. Does anyone have anything else to add? I would appreciate the info. Just wondering if I should start looking elsewhere for a surgeon.

Hi everybody, just got approved to have VSG and will meet with my Dr. to schedule on Thursday. I hope to be a loser soon like so many of my bluegrass friends on here.

If possible, could you  please give me some feedback on as to how you went about getting your revision approved. I had the lapband in October 2007 and have been struggling with restriction from day one. with a year I was already at 10 cc in my 10cc band. I am now at 12cc . My doctor (Dr. Rodiguez) said it can stretch to 13cc... Well I have one more fill and that will be all I get for a lifetime with the lapband... Something dont add up right... I've gained all but 20lbs of my weight back...so to make a long story short, I have researched the DS and have been wanting and needing a revision. I have a few questions about insurance/out of pocket cost. I want to attend one of Dr. Husted seminars. Could you give me any advice or what I need to do first, second, third....etc... This would greatly be appreciated. My main concern would be if my insurance would approve this surgery (UKEPO Humana). I have had difficult getting in touch with someone in the office to ask questions and there website isnt updated for the 2010 year as far as Seminars....

Are you having a tummy tuck or a panni removal?
I had a panni removal last Feb when i had my hysterectomy and it took me a little longer to recoup .
Go to the plastic surgery board here on OH and they can give you some great advice..
