Pics and a special moment!
I added all my photobucket pics back to my profile...I had them thru out and then one time when some of my profile disappeared, they did too! But they are back now. They are kind of big, I tried to down size them but it didn't work. They got too small, gave new meaning to the words thumbnail...
My special moment for this week. Years ago before I met my hubby I worked at a truck stop, gas station called Speedway. I had several friends that I made there. There was this one older guy who lived down the road and came in every day. He was and is very special to me. The color of our skin is different but he is still family in my heart. When I met my hubby and quit my job it got to where I didn't him or the people I worked with very often. I have kept in touch with him over the past 6 1/2 yrs since I left the store and seen him a few times. My hubby has met him and knows that I consider this gentleman to be a part of my family. I have talked with him several times over the phone since my surgery. He knew that I had surgery but hadn't seen me since probably 6 months or more before surgery. Well, yesterday we were getting some lawn mower gas on our way home and my hubby Adam was getting ready to pull off the fuel island. I saw my old friend get out of a pick up and it was just so great to see him. I yelled for Adam to stop and scared him to death, he didn't know what was going on. I jumped out and ran over screaming like a fruit loop and I jumped on him and hugged his neck and smooched his check. I can't say how wonderful it was to see him, it was just great. He was laughing and said he wouldn't have known me except he knew I had had surgery and lost a lot of weight and not many strangers scream at him, hugged him to pieces and smooch him so he figured it was me. He said I looked great and that was ok but it wasn't the big deal of getting to see him. It was like seeing a favorite uncle u hadn't seen for awhile. It was just so special. Might not mean anything to anyone else, but it was special to me. It showed me that I don't need to wait so long again. I told Adam that we pass his house every other weekend going to pick up our son and we are going to leave a few minutes early one of these days and stop in and say Hey. Life is too short not to let the people u care about know it!
Hugs

I know this is a silly story, but it was special to me...
