Georgetown Bariatrics

Me and my wife are going to the information session this month with Dr. Oldham and Dr. Weiss...has anyone else has these doctors? so far everyone we have talked to has been really nice. Chad

Hi chad As you know, these surgeons didn't do my surgery..but I can tell you they are very good at what they do..they work together as a team..in other words two surgeons are operating at the same time. I spent Thurs with them, watching them work then socializing after...they are alot of fun and very confident..the office staff is wonderful to work with..and they have an great post op support group and program. I will be at the info session this month..I am spending the night at the Embassy Suites where the session will be held..I am going to be talking to the events manager looking into holding the conference there, if it's big enough..I will be checking out other facilities as well.. Dr. Weiss will be holding that conference. See you there!! Brenda

Hi Delores..as I said I am checking out several facilities in the area..not quite sure where we will hold it..I have not ruled out Georgetown college either!

neither of these places are large enough to handle the thousands that will come. Lexington convention center would be a nice place but it might be very expensive. You will have people from several states attending. Oe even Louisville.

Thanks for the info Delores, that's why I am coming down there for a couple of days..It will be held in the Lexington area..I will be looking at several places..I havn't been to the Embassy Suites so I don't have a clue..but while there I will be checking out the convention center, as well as the college and other facilities..I hope we do have thousands attending, these programs are awesome!! It will be announced once we figure it all out.. Chad, I had my surgery at G-town 17 months ago. It has been an amazing journey and I have more than pleased with the entire process. I am planning on being at the info seminar on the 19th so I hope to see you there.

I am very pleased with Georgetown Bariatrics. Dr. Oldham was my doctor and you couldn't ask for a better surgeon. He has always been there for me whenever a problem arises or to answer any question I have. I believe they are getting ready to open their new bariatrics wing at the hospital which will only add to their program. Gail

The new bariatric wing is beautiful. I saw it today when I went to visit a friend.

Dr. Weiss walked me through the unit back in the fall before it was open... it's really nice, last week he showed me through it again..anything you can imagine to make the patients more comfortable it's really awesome..
