Anxiety about surgery

I am scheduled to have surgery in 3 weeks. I am excited but also very nervous. I am afraid I won't wake up. I know this is a normal feeling, however, it really helps to talk to others regarding this matter and it also helps in relieving some of the anxiety.

Hi Tara, It's perfectly normal to be nervous before surgery. I had mine on the 12th of August and am doing great! What type are you having and with who? I had mine with Dr Shina and he was great. I am about 30 minutes out from Knox as my hubby and I bought a house and are staying here after he retires this fall. Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions. Tara, Hi! I was hoping to hear from you soon because I was wondering how you have been doing. I can't believe it's only 3 weeks until your surgery. I can honestly say that I know what you're going through right now. I felt so much like the way you described how you are feeling. I worried that I wouldn't wake up from the surgery or that there would be complications that would make me regret having the surgery. I finally came to peace with my decision about a week before the surgery. Once this happened I decided to leave it in the hands of the surgeon and God (but not in that order!)
