I need alittle HELP!!!!
Here's my problem. I moved from FT. Knox KY to FT Lewis WA.and I have started smoking again after not smoking for 6 years. I was so stress out and could not pig-out so I lit up. I'm 1 year out and weight 255 now down to 135 but a smoker again. I can't go on the patch because I am allergic to it and I don't honestly feel I can stop on my own. Any advice would be helpful. Please no preaching I know it's bad.

Ok think about what you are saying. I think we all look for accepatance from everybody but ourselves. You did the surgery to live and well I am not preaching. It is all an addiction one addiction can trigger another addiction. All I can say without preaching, is follow your heart, know what you want and live till your 106 . You are a success dont forget that and we care dont be a statistic your to good for that.
Talk to your dr there has to be something for you to take. ...ron
Diane,
If your here at knox think about going to the smoking cessation class. I went in May-June and quit prior to surgery. They offer both the patches, gum, and zyban. Also they have the mandatory support group you have to attend. I quit about 8 weeks ago by going and hope to not start again but one thing they do tell you in class is that if you do start smoking again at whatever point..don't beat yourself up about it. Just go back to class and quit again. You can do it.
Take care,
