My father in law worked for years at the nuclear plant in Washington state, and I was always fascinated with the whole thing. Hi, I live in the Lancaster, KY area and one year ago I weighed 283 lb. Today, I weigh 162. Even though I had to travel out of state to get it, I had the BPD/DS on 8/3/04 mostly because I liked the post-op BPD/DS diet, and I wanted to lose the most weight with the best chance of keeping it off. So far, I have had no complications; I eat small normal meals and while the weight is coming off slower than if I'd had RNY, I am VERY happy with life and hope that losing the next 12 pounds continues to be as effortless as the first 100+! -joanne s

I am two years and five months post op. I had Dr. Steiner at St. Joe East as my surgeon. he has saved my life more than once. I live in Harrodsburg, kentucky. i check on the Ky. board every day. You are right. Not much going on here. I usually post a few times a day on the main board.

Hello. I'm Angi and in the process of getting approval thru Dr. Bolar's office. I toyed with the idea of WLS forever and am just now getting around to it.The thing is, now that I have decided it is what I want, things just can't move fast enough. I live just north of Somerset and have been looking for some local folks that I can get together with and discuss WLS and life thereafter.
