20 days out
Well everything is going great! I am down 53 lbs since surgery. I did gain 25 lbs the 4th day after surgery, and found out it was all fluid. I was retaining so much fluid that you couldn't see my knees or my ankles. So started taking a water pill and got rid of all of it, but took a while. I hit my first plateau 3 weeks ago and stayed at the same weight. I finally broke it on Monday and since last Wednesday I have lost 12 lbs. On my way again. I was worried there for a while.
I have gone from a size 20 to a size 14. It really feels good.
It has been so hot here in Western Kentucky with the humidity so high that I haven't been able to do the walking I should be doing. So then I got out my exercise bike and my Gazelle and I am riding the bike for 5 miles each day and the Gazelle for 3 miles. I have noticed that this has helped me out a lot.
I haven't had problems with milk, but with roast beef and steak. But I can handle beef jerky, go figure. I can only still eat only 1/4 oz of food or I get sick and nauseated. I drink my 64 ozs plus a day and get most of this in drinking water. The second part of phase 3 starts on July 15th.
I don't mine eating what I am now. I try to eat differently everyday and each meal so it won't be boring.
I did have to go to the doctor for my 3 week check up an found out I had a fluid pocket in my tummy and he had to puncture it and let it drain, so now I am having to pack it 2 times a day. It is very small and not as big as the tip of my little nail. My scars are almost gone and not real noticable for I have been putting Vitamin E oil them since a week after surgery. It made the healing process faster too.
My legs are hardly swelling anymore too, and I am off my Insulins too.
Hopefully I will be off all the other meds as well before too long.
Well, that's about it for now.
I wish everyone else the best of luck and continue losing!
God bless everyone
