Dr Geller's seminar yesterday...

I am a patient of Dr Shinas and had my surgery March 24, but yesterday I got to sit in on Dr Gellers seminar. My hubbys brother in law is hopefully having surgery with Dr Geller next month sometime cause he loses his insurance the first of August. I just wanted to say although, it was a long day, it was interesting to sit thru another seminar and I hope to be able to go to the support meeting this month. I haven't been to one yet, lol, bad me!!! There is one here in Etown right up the road and I haven't been to it either, I know BAD ME again. I have lost 42 pounds so far and feel great! I can see my collar bone and my knees, well my knees when I move a certain way! I met alot of nice people yesterday starting out on their journey and would love to hear from any of u! Hi, Angela! COngratulations on your loss!!!!!! Wow! I went through Dr. Geller's seminar on May 24th, and will have my psych consult on 6/15, then will wait for insurance approval. I met a great lady in the seminar who has already been approved and given a surgery date - 6/27! I couldn't believe it went that fast for her! I'm definitely planning on going to the support group meeting on the 28th unless I have to travel for work. Hugs, Joni

Hi Joni, first of all good luck and don't worry it will all work out. I had my seminar with Dr Shina back on Oct 5 and wasn't approved until January 10. I got denied once in December. My insurance company was trying to stall so I consulted with Obesity Lawyer, Gary Viscio, he is a genius(sp?). I didn't have to hire him, lol, I just called my insurance company and told them as soon as they denied my appeal to send me a copy so I could get it to my attorney and I was approved an hour later. I just said all that so u would know if something happens and u get denied the first time, and alot of people do, its still ok because u will be approved. Email me or IM me if u have aol or yahoo.
