Hi! I just wanted to say hello to the other Kentuckians! I've been lurking on this site for a while and getting lots of great info. I have my first appointment with Dr. Geller's staff in Louisville tomorrow and I'm really excited. I'm afraid of getting my hopes up and then being declined by my insurance, but I'm moving forward - after considering this for the last few years! Jo

Tonya, Welcome aboard. I had my open RNY 3 yrs ago on May 20 and I'm doing great. I've lost over 225 lbs and maintaining, which is fine with me. Just holler if I can be of help. God Bless. Susy

Hi Jo, I am also new at this, I have been researching for months and everyone has been great with sharing their info. I had an appointment with Dr. Shina, on the 24th of May, and he said he would do my operation! YEAH! I went and had my Lab work done today, so I am on my way! Leatha
